Since it can be hard to read satire on the computer, I'm not sure if you were serious or satirical in your comment.

The NETC is a classroom-only environment. There is no on-site fire department, nor are there any physical training grounds. Any events that occured at the NETC would still be overseen by the local jurisdiction, namely Frederick County Fire & Rescue.

I wouldn't post something like that as a joke. true, they may fall under local jurisdiction, but damn.

according to someone else, it was a chlorine leak that was cleaned up quickly.

As the crow flies, I'd say it's about 12-15 miles from the NETC to Site-R.

The NETC is home to a number of different fire-service items, including the National Fire Academy. Also found there is the National Fallen Firefighter's Memorial, where a national memorial service is held annually. The NFFM is open to the public.
