Hey folks ~ Does anyone know if the National Grid frequencies are still accurate/updated in the RR database?

I have the ones listed loaded but don't seem to get much out of them. Are they still conventional or have they gone digital?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to assume they are. I was up along the Saint Lawrence Seaway and my 536 had the full database running and I picked up some National Grid channels. Offhand I forget which ones, though

Ok, thank you.

I'm guessing they aren't analog anymore or my conventional unit would be picking them up. It's the only one I have hooked up to my ST2 since it's too much/not needed for my local P25.

Of course that's assuming they should be talking with all the storm activity/power line situation going on the last couple days...

I still hear Nat Grid in the Cobleskill area on 153.650. I don't hear them regularly, but from time to time at least this freq is used in this area.

I receive National Grid conventional frequencies on 153.425 and 153.665 here in Onondaga County so those two frequencies are accurate in the RR database.

Thanks plum and chase.

I seem to remember at one time there was a set of 800 frequencies for them. I think it was years ago. Way before I had a scanner that would even go that high.

Does anyone recall that?

Yes, they used 856.3125 & 856.3875 conventional (repeater) channels. I can recall some (not a lot) of transmissions on there. Those channels were discontinued about 5+ years ago.

854.8375 noted as Herkimer County, but I am not close enough to hear anything on this.

Here in the Capital District they are all conventional, but some channels are analog and some are digital. They also use both VHF and UHF.

There used to be a trunked system on 800 MHz (AA1C), but it was dismantled a few years ago.
