National Radio Data Website

Does anyone use www.nationalradiodata.com to get scanner frequencies? It is a pay site that I came across when looking for other scanner frequency links. I have found everything that I have been looking for on this site but am wondering what the other has to offer.

Any experienced users here?

I've read bad things about that site. Stick with RR, that site is probably only a dump of the FCC Database with some IDed frequencies.

If memory serves

If my memory serves me, I had free access to that site some (2?) years ago. To me it was not impressive compared to the current state of the radioreference database.

Save your bucks and do as I do, donate here.

Well, I just bought a one month membership to see exactly what it is. It is a complete waste of money

It's just an "organized" dump of the FCC database. Go to the FCC license search page and type in your state/county and you will get the _exact_ same thing that is on nationalradiodata. I guess that explains why NRD doesn't give you a preview of the data that is on there for members.

I was once told that National Radio Data a division of Holland Radio Data (aka- "police Call").

Anyone thats ever picked up one of those useless pieces would know right away its nothing more than published version of good old Uncle Sam's database.
And he's right, your much better off donating to this site instead.

AFAIK, that is not true. "Hollins" radio data produced only Police Call. I discussed with Gene (and even coded a prototype) of an online version of Police Call, but it never got past the planning stages.

2005 is the last year for Police Call. If you're a fan of the book, you might want to pick one up before they are gone forever.
