The Richmond County S.O., U.S. Marshals Service, and the F.B.I. were all involved in a take down of Steve Stanko on 4-12-05. Did anyone in the Augusta, Ga area copy any radio traffic related to it and, if so, what frequencies/talkgroups were in use?
Today, 4-13-05 at approximately 4:15 P.M., I copied several individuals on the Palmetto 800 system discussing the takedown of Mr. Stanko. They were obviously in the area of where it took place because one of them was describing the different businesses and landmarks to the others as they were driving. This all occured on talkgroup 31280. I'm assuming they were law enforcement from Horry County, S.C.
At approximately 5:45 P.M. Mr. Stanko was extradited from Richmond County, GA back to South Carolina.
