Does anyone have information on the Naugatuck police dispatch channel on the use of encryption,I was in the town for a few hours and was listening in,and sometimes the dispatcher was encrypted and sometimes in the clear and the same for the officers radio. Can they just use it at the push of a button ? The officer would radio in a license number and the dispatcher would come back encrypted.
