Whatever happened to the Naval Academy Police? I suddenly remembered them from the "old" days and realized they're gone. They used to transmit on 149.00 primary and 148.95 secondary. I guess I haven't missed them too much since I haven't thought of them in the past few years. Anyone know?

They're probably on the Naval District of Washington trunked system. There is supposed to be a site at the academy. I don't have any info on it handy but it's EDACS (wide) in the military VHF-high band. Unfortunately, info on this system is not available on RR due to a nastygram the site received from the military.

BTW, it is not a simulcast system. Each site has its own set of frequencies and the sites are networked. I'm not sure that I've actually seen a confirmed frequency list for the Annapolis site.

Not quite as easy as I thought it would be. Well, I guess I can start with that old list and then do some searching in the same freq range (I seem to remember it was in the 138-140 range) for more of the same and see what I come up with.

I have found the USNA Police on the following frequencies:

149.000
148.950

And fire on:
148.425

These are fairly active. I'm on Kent Island and with my discone get good reception.

Yes still on the old freqs. Last week it sounded like they were have some repeater trouble. So, it could be that they may still be having some issues.

Great work Chris! Thanks very much. It's appreciated.

Do you want to submit those to the database or do you want me to do it?

I've managed to hear their police freq 149.00 and their fire freq on 148.425 today. Both were loud and clear. Thanks again for your help Chris. I'm really surprised to learn they are still on these freqs.
