I guess this is the right section... technically this is a receive antenna I'm curious about 
NRS Mill Cove is the Canadian Navy's east coast receive site. I happened to be in the area today and took a quick drive up. Of course since this was unplanned, I didn't have my camera and couldn't take any half decent shots.
This Google Maps view shows two cleared circular areas...the south area is your typical log periodics and conical monopoles. The north area however...

As you can see there's a small white shack in the middle, with a circular antenna structure around it. The wires are supported by small posts maybe 4 - 5 feet high. There were no tall masts, everything was just a few feet off the ground. It was difficult to tell from the ground level (and built up vegetation) but the entire cleared area was full of these short posts, possibly radiating outward from the center.
Any thoughts on what type of antenna this may be, and what it's for?
