US NAVY SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES are operating in carteret county in a special exercise which centers on this week.....operations will be on land air and sea....JSOC special ops forces from other services will also be involved....operations will include SOC forces in civilian clothes driving civilian vehicles marked with special tape markings for ID......heavier than usual local/state civilian police activity will be seen on HW24 and HW58 in Carteret County involved with the exercise....SOC forces will be using bogue sound,bogue inlet,beaufort inlet and piney and brandt islands with special ops crafts.....special ops teams will be seen using normal civilian areas during the exercise to give practice to operating amid civilian populations.....aerial,land and sea activity will be heavier than usual.....exercise runs thru Feb 26 2010.......local carteret county EOC has 911alert dialed all county citizens to prepare them for this unusually heightened activity in civilian areas........Piney Island BT11 and Bogue Field expect especially heavy activity with many scenerios being played out from land air and sea.....
