I been listening to NB RCMP, 9Alpha6 from what i understand would be a unit in Cambleton but when i looked on google maps to see where it was called to it turned up Moncton. Are the units in NB just go where assigned or do they stay in that particular area ?
Thanks.

9A6 is a Campbellton unit...

9 being "District 9" (St. Quentin through Bathurst, Including Campbellton)
"A" being "General Duties Car"
6 being unit #6 (Units 1-15 are stationed in Campbellton, Units 50 - 59 are stationed in Dalhousie)

Generally they don't tend to go too far from their home detachment & repeater(s)

They aren't like the ambulance system where the ambulances are shifted around the province on a daily basis. RCMP cars usually stay in their home town, and it's pretty rare for them to go outside of their district.

Just curious, what repeaters are you catching?
