Caught 170.0500 NAC 293 a moment ago.... two guys talking about meeting up. One was going to drive to the visitors center and pick him up out front.

170.05 is used up north in Maryland for NPS, (national battle fields). with different NACs. Any input?

Heard this with an excellent decode from the Holden Beach area....but who knows how far it could've come from, ducting is very active these past few days.

169.550 is a popular NPS frequency, the B00 NAC is weird though.

Heard it again today in Davie county area... dial tone then encrypted voice then busy signal(169.550 nac B00) .

Logged 169.5375 P25 in Greensboro with encrypted voice and lots of data being sent today, seemed to be a distant repeater. Also logged P25 data (no voice) on 170.100 in Greensboro today. Wasn't able to get a NAC for either.

Caught some simplex P25 in the Greensboro area, 163.1000 with NAC 167, all encrypted. I saw earlier in this thread that this a Fed Common channel, correct?

Have caught that before in Charlotte (same NAC too). 163.1000 is the Fed Common channel (now paired with 168.3500 as the input), but some agencies still have both as simplex frequencies in their radio.

NAC 167 has FBI written all over it, but I suppose we'll never know since it's encrypted.

Been hearing sporadic traffic on 170.100 lately, a little bit of encrypted voice and some P25 data. It's very distant, only getting 1 bar on my scanner.

Net 1

The Ops I have always heard on NET 1 must have switched to Viper now. Last week I heard the same team using Viper in the Concord/Salisbury area does anyone have the TG ? I was driving and could not look at the scanner.

I can verify that I too caught 169.550Mhz (encrypted) with a B00 NAC this AM on both my HP and my 396XT here in West Raleigh. Interesting.

Caught a strong P25 signal on 407.775 around the southside of Greensboro, unable to get a digital radio quick enough to find a NAC or whether it was encrypted or not. Will keep an ear out.

Beat me to it Kenny.

That's going to be USPS-Blue.

We've got USPS-White down here in Charlotte. ENC 24/7....just like the rest of the country.

Thanks Kenny & Chris, I occasionally search the Fed bands, not as often as I should, I just had never caught that freq before. Thanks again.

US Customs also commonly listed as CBP

FYI that Freq is common in most [not all] areas as
NET-01 when a Repeater and TAC-01 when simplex,
However with other input frequencies and tones vs the normal of 166.4375 it can be referred to as

Net-06, Net-17, Net-39, Net-40, Net-43, Net-47, Net-52, Net65
Here is a good list of the combinations [Per P25]
