Equipment is estimated to start arriving in Currituck County in mid-April and the installation will begin. The renewal date for the 800 MHz frequencies were inadvertently missed resulting in the loss of those licenses. The MCA rep is working diligently with the FCC to establish new frequencies. The applications have been submitted. We do not have a date yet for approval of thosenew frequencies, however, (if need be) the system will be able to go “live” with 5 of the 6 channels.

I have no info on that, hopefully if there is someone who does they will share it. I've wondered if Phase 2 upgrades are a software upgrade or physical equipment upgrade, and, if software, can they do it OTA?

I don’t understand about Currituck because they are already digital on the conventional channels and are encrypted
I was gonna ask the same. It sounds like if they don’t get the existing frequencies on their new FCC license they’ll be getting new ones. Could very well be a Phase 2 upgrade for the VIPER sites in Currituck
