NC SHP Gets New Helicopter

NC SHP has been using a new helicopter in the recent weeks. A former FBI helicopter, N215KS has been used in the search for the shooter of SHP Trooper and was today seen searching for a lost 3 year old boy in Craven County. According to FAA records, ownership change is currently pending.

AFAIK there’s only two news helicopters in the eastern half of the state, WRAL and WTVD. Nobody in the Greenville or Wilmington markets have one.

Well, they did need a new one. And I hadn't read what caused the accident so new info if you hadn't followed the story closely.

New SHP helo N215KS, which was a former FBI helo, is getting a new tail number, N404NC. Was tracking on Flightradar24 today as unknown.
