Hello,

866.7250 no longer hangs. :) Thank You DivCom!

On a side note, WilCom is now simulcasted on the State System TG 10672, WPDPMA.

A question around the hanging issue of the various frequencies from time to time:

Can anyone set me straight that the Radio Shack (GRE) digital scanners do not experience this problem as the Unidens do? I downloaded the manual for the Pro 2096 and it stated that only the control channels and alternates have to entered for the unit to track.

Can anyone attest that when we see a post about a frequency hanging, that the Radio Shack units are not effected by this problem and continue to operate normally?

I've been kicking around trying one of the RS units simply because you get in a good grove listening to the system for a while and then one of the freqs hangs. I'm tired of having to keep hitting scan on my BC unit every 2 minutes when this is going on.

Thanks,

Mike Cooper

Hello,

The PRO 96 and PRO 2096 don't hang when the Quantars do. The GRE units continue to track.

Thank you very much, Dave. That helps a lot.

Could you drop me an email privately off forum? If you can't find it, please leave me a private message with yours and I'll contact you.

Thanks again,

Dave,
Would this WilCom TG be Wilm police or fire or both? Just curious before I go and make a change to add it as I usually only monitor fire.
Thanks
Tom

Hello,

WilCom is WPD. There are some listeners who can't pick up Wilmington but can monitor State System. It is hoped the info was useful for those who wish to monitor WPD. Good listening! WPD and WFD work very well together.

WFD is TG 3696 on State System. It is not simulcasted but may be in the future.

Check, thank you. I can't monitor Wilmington's TRS (can anyone outside Wilm?) and only recieve the Wilm/fire VHF patch sometimes, but when I do it is clear as a bell and very strong and other times I get nothing. Hopefully the patch to the state system will someday come about.

I can monitor Wilmington with a Yagi, and good cable. When Wilimington's System goes into FailSoft, WFD will use one of the NCCo Fireboard TAC Channels on the State System. WFD and WPD have access to State System, just don't use it alot.

868.7125 MHz Hanging Up

Hello,

It seems a new Frequency is hanging up, 868.7125 MHz. It covers the Claymont Tower, which rarely has a frequency hanging.

On a side note, if you use the BCD396T and have updated to newest Firmware, you can use the Digital End Code Detection to keep the unit Trunking.
