I concur with your assumption. Makes sense to me.

Thanks for uploading the picture! I've never seen this unit before.

I am 50/50 meaning, I don't agree(or disagree) with you. I am just saying, of the several golf courses located in Montgomery County, MD(l lived there 1984-2002, 2007-2019). I never saw a LE truck that big headed for one of several golf courses in the county. Where the PGA held the US Open.

Just FYI, SHP has always had a presence at major crowd events including golf, Nascar, and others. Just finally using an updated piece of equipment. Glad to see it in the road

They needed that Friday night in Wake County off Aviaition Pkwy. Had a car takeover with 200+ cars and at one point only 1 NCSHP trooper was on scene they evocalled all surrounding agencies and put a SHP helo up to flush them out

Thats so weird. They even had a small no fly zone/TFR whatever over a golf course out there recently.

NCSHP command center. No Fly zones.

WTH is going on at these tournaments?

Biggest danger I would be worried about is being bored to death.

They will do "No Fly" stuff over large events. It's done here in Louisville at Kentucky Derby stuff. Not cool to have drones running into each other. And the FAA frowns on flying over people (though one could after jumping through a million hoops).

They do that at all major sporting events. Think Super Bowl. There will be 60-70 thousand people in a releatively small space for each of the 4 days of the tournament.
