I have programmed the NCSHP Troop B District 6 into my Uniden SDS scanner from the RRDB, but I have never heard traffic. I live near the Bolivia and Supply towers and receive all of Brunswick Co. communications. Is there a trick to listening to the NCSHP?

Often times Districts are patched together, it may be that you need to program in all the districts in order to find D6.

HP E-Town and the other comm centers use multi select for multiple districts so you should still hear Etown and HP cars if you’re scanning B6. Is your scanner Phase 2?

Edit I see you have an SDS so yes it is. Missed that.

It’s unlikely but possible no one’s affiliated with the towers you’re scanning. I’d wait it out a little longer to see if you get anything because sometimes HP traffic is few and far between. B6 should have somewhat steady traffic though because of NH county.

I will give that a try and report back. Thank you very much.
I found my problem. As I was adding all of the districts as suggested, I noticed that I did not have any sites associated with the NCSHP programming. Once I added my local site, I started receiving radio traffic. I currently have only Troop B District 6 programmed and associated the Supply, NC site/tower. Thank you both for your input.
