Mixed mode

Bisman I have been hearing both Digital and analog there going to be using a mixed mode for a long time since MANY small departments that can't buy the new digital so just to let you know and all the other who see this POST so keep the analog and digital. Also state channel 3, 4, 5 will stay Analog for ever

STATE 1 ANALOG 192.8 PL 154.93500
STATE 1 DIGITAL 788 NAC 154.93500

STATE 2 ANALOG 192.8 PL 154.69500
STATE 2 DIGITAL 788 NAC 154.69500

I was down at family in the Bowman Area and I heard off the Bowman Tower both digital and analog. Seems at Law was digital and the fire rescue with being smaller they were using analog

Killdeer and Dickinson towers are analog; no digital heard.

I should note that I just realized I have it programmed for the 192.8 tone, so I would not have heard any P25 traffic. When I rotate back Saturday I will put both base and mobiles in as 'Search', and if results differ, will post.

Sorry.

STATE 1 ANALOG 192.8 PL 154.93500
STATE 1 DIGITAL 788 NAC 154.93500

STATE 2 ANALOG 192.8 PL 154.69500

Brian, I would wager and say they are. But so far we are hearing them used in mixed mode. I would say most users are still analog, based on from what Im hearing so far anyways....But like Astro posted its the same main state radio channels that are both analog and digital.

I put the State freqs in tone "search" mode on my PSR500, and just caught an HP unit talking to Dickinson tower in P25, NAC 788, with the dispatcher answering him in analog with the 192.8 tone.

While driving back from Denver yesterday, I heard Digital Talk-In and Talk-Out on Bowman, Dickinson, and Mott. Although it's starting to become more digital, I have heard some Analog once in a while on these towers too.
