Y'know, I'm kinda flabbergasted - I know there are numerous scannists in the NNJ/NYC areas, and yet on both the NNJ-Scan and ScanCom Yahoo groups, I can't think of more than a handful of mil air loggings.

Anyway, to start, I'd take a look at the Where to Start topic of:

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Milcom_Web_Pages_and_Mailing_Lists

The NY ARTCC should be an obvious target.

Unfortunately I see that the pages on the RRDB are pretty threadbare for the 3 big airports - LaGuardia, JFK and Newark, but I guess they'll do for a start.

I'd also join the Milcom group on qth.net (that link is in the Mailing lists topic), and it probably wouldn't hurt to join up on NNJ-Scan and ScanCom on Yahoo groups, either.

73s and good hunting...Mike

[edit] I see the well known Charlie Hargrove site has the Airnav links for the various airports mapped at:

http://www.n2nov.net/nycaero.html

It doesn't look like it's been updated in a while, tho.

I don't know of the 177th out of Atlantic City flies North - probably does - but our Wiki page has freqs we've noted for them when they fly south toward the DC Maryland area - it might at least give you a starting point...

Hi Charles - well, the NY ARTCC list on this site is only a little newer - dated 1/2/06 - and it can be found here....

http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&aid=2246

I'm willing to bet the most recent FLIP - while you can still get it - might have more ARTCC changes. I know our local ARTCC (ZDC) has had a few changes since January, so it's quite possible ZNY has, too.

73s and stay dry....Mike
