trying to setup the vhf Mitchell (SB County) site for state radio system and monitor troop E (SB) on the system. i can't seem to get it to work properly. anyone able to tell me how to set it up on a 996P2?

I'm not in the area but you can set it up with a little help.
You need to program the System, Sites and Groups.

i'm thinking it has something to do with the trunking tables since its on vhf, i'm hoping someone local can clue me in on that one.

Also keep in mind that anything with an "E" or "DE" in the mode column is Encrypted and you won't be able to monitor it.

yep i do know that have plenty of experience with 800/900 phase 1/2 but none with vhf

ps: i'm very impressed with the 996p2 p25 audio into an external motorola speaker, audio is every bit as good as my xtl5000,
