I ALWAYS take a MW radio with me on my van camping trips. I really enjoy hearing the local broadcasts from wherever I camping the night. I have a well worn DX-398 that I use. I just received a CCrane 2E and need a carry case for transport. Something padded enough that I can transport the radio while traveling so that I can pack it into available nooks and crannies in my van. I see CCrane has a fabric case, but it does leave the knobs and some surfaces exposed. So far it seems some type of a padded lunch bag may be the best bet, but haven't found one the correct size. Has anyone here already solved this need? Thx.

Those Cranes are great MW DX radios. If it were me I would get
the Crane fabric case just because you will need the handle then
wrapped the radio in a towel and put in a clear plastic tote with
a lid, that is the cheap way. If money is no option take your radio
for fitting to your local electronics/computer store and get a
nice padded laptop 💻 shoulder bag 💰

Take a look a pistol cases. Heavy plastic with foam padding will press it tight. I use these to transport 2 handhelds when I go camping.

I have a CCrane Skywave SSB portable that comes with a leatherette case. They offered replacement cases in their catalog for awhile, but not sure if it would fit yours .

I am pretty sure the Skywave SSB case will not fit the 2E. I was a bit surprised at the physical size of the 2E, even though I read the specifications of the unit before purchasing.
