Need antenna for 05 trailblazer

Looking for a low profile antenna for my 05 trailblazer. Would be used with a bc780xlt scanner.

Monitor mainly 800mhz conv and trunked systems.

Not sure if I have to use a scanner antenna or if a radio antenna would work as well.

I have one that would work great...

You'd need a BNC connector, or a TNC to BNC adaptor....

ETA: I can cut it down to a unity gain antenna, about 6" instead of 15"....

Question/Need

Would you be able to put a bnc adapter on it, would also need a elbow style mount (hood area).

How does the 6" reception compare to the 15"?

You mean a trunklip mount?

Don't have one unfortunately. I can get a BNC connector for you.

Unity=0 gain

You'd be really hard pressed to notice a difference. It'd be a 1/4 wave instead of a 5/8ths over 1/4 wave..

Correction. Have trunklip mount, just add 5$....
