Need assistance

I am trying to start a patch collection for myself. I wish to have as many as sheriff departments in our state patches. However, I have a good start on contacting the agencies there is still a bunch with no contacts.


Any help is very appreciated.

Good luck with your collection. Unless you are a LEO, you may run into problems obtaining these in this post 9/11 world we live in. Even in our
department, we've been instructed not to pass out ANYTHING that would identify someone as being a member of the department including patches. This was due to DHS reports of possible public safety personell impersonation by terrorists and such. Not saying you won't get them, just be patient and expect some red tape. I was working on a collection two years ago too and I found many patches on EBAY of all places and the prices some of the collectors were asking were fair. This may be another option for you.

I have had good luck with the patches. I've only had one problem, B'ham PD wanted a law enforcement agency to email or request the patch therefore I had only one my friend who is an officer at my hometown take care of that.
