I have a Kenwood TS-940SAT and on the way is a Solarcon 24' IMAX-2000 with the ground plane kit. The antenna will be mounted on a ~25' pole and intended for 10/15m. To be safe I would say I would need LMR-400 but is there something under that which is a bit cheaper? I figure about 30 to the window and through the pass-through then another 15 ft to the radio

Yeah, HF ain't picky. Unless you've got a 200' run to the antenna, it's not worth using the fancy stuff.

Don't forget LMR240 with its double shielding-I use it here for my receivers and it greatly helped with RFI compared to 8x and the like. About $40 or so you can have your 45' requirement filled.
HRO has it at .84 per foot.

At less than $1 a foot for 50' or more and less than 1dB loss per 100ft at your freqs of interest (10/15M you state).... RG-213U is worth a close look.

Thanks, guys. I think a local HAM has some LMR400 so I might pick it up because of convenience alone, if not I'll take a look at 240 and RG213.
