Need control/jacks daughter board for 2096

I need a replacement volume/squelch/PC-IF/Earphone daughterboard for my PRO2096. It appears that RadioShack no longer sells parts directly since I can't find it on their website and the dudes at the stores have no clue what I was talking about (But 3 did ask if I was interested in a phone...). I tried GRE but they are not allowed to support RS scanners in the USA.

Anyone know where I can get one?

The board I need has the volume and squelch control along with the PC-IF and earphone jacks and connects into the display daughter board and main board with several connectors.

I tried to see if one from my PSR400 would work but that one had a 3-wire pin on the connector to the display board, the 2096 has 2. I wonder if the board from an older RS desktop scanner would work, I have a PRO163 at work...

Radio Shack stores have access to RSU parts look up though as you found out, many do not know where it is in the system under products. I will be back in the store on Wednesday and can look for the part for you then unless one of the other RS employees on here beat me to it.

When my 2096 fell 5 feet onto the floor, this part was destroyed. It cost 80 bucks to fix by RS repair and the part was backordered when I sent mine in. The scanner was gone about a month as a result.

I found a different RS store and ordered the part above, it arrived today. I installed it replacing the old control board and all is OK with the world again.

Could anyone tell me if this part is still available. I have recently acquire a PRO-2096 from a silent key that needs a little TLC. The Volume/Squelch control broken off daughter board and D34 is blown. I am guessing that D34 is a 1N4002 like the others which I have plenty of in my inventory.
