Need EDACS tracking software

I am trying to get an EDACS MS DOS trunking software to work. I have several computer systems to include one that reboots in MS DOS. I have a level 2 dataslicer. Trunktracker 3.8.3 for Motorola systems work fine on 400 and 800 mhz. monitoring. The target EDACS transmissions decode fine on my BC796D. However, the RR EDACS MS DOS tracking programs i.e., Etrunker383.zip (etrunk.exe and etrnk48.exe) do not work. Etrunk's bar spins with a blinking "@" character but no decoding information displays. Etrnk48 does nothing.

In searching the internet I saw an EDACS MS DOS tracking program called E-TRAX. But I cannot find a valid site to download it. If anyone has this free program I would like to have a copy. Also if there is a better or another free program MS DOS or Windows progam to track EDACs I would appreciate being so advised. Tnx.

Have you tried changing the pin used or the invert command?

Have you tried UniTrunker ? The wiki says it decodes EDACS. No data slicer needed, and it runs in Windoze. (Altho I can't for the life of me figure out what to use to unpack - if that's the right word - a .msi file. That's something that really should be added to the page) 73s Mike

You don't unpack a msi file - double click on it and the Windows Installer should do the rest.

And if you don't have Windows Installer (comes with Windows 2K and later), you can get it from microsoft.
