We are going to be camping in the Malheur County area. I am looking for local freqs and tones in case we get into an emergency.
Thanks!

I looked at the data base but it is not complete with input and tones. Does anyone have the missing info that is not in the database?

I'm thinkin' you might try also posting your query in the Idaho forum.
The Boise valley's well within range to copy Malheur county,
and there are probably alot more hobbyists in-the-know there.

Just my 2¢

I live in Meridian and have all the Boise Valley freqs and tones. I am going to be camping in the Succor Creek area and didn't realize I would be able to hit Boise repeaters.

Dunno about using a handheld from there to get into the Boise area, but...

If your'e talking amateur 2M repeaters, check out this list:

you ought to be able to get into one or more from Succor Creek.
The Cottonwood Mtn repeaters are at around 5000 ft. elevation.

Malheur County is in the process of making changes to their radio system. Their current system is unlicensed and sounds horrible. All sites are linked via 453.000 & 458.000 MHz links. The system is used for Sheriff, Fire and other agencies.
There are basically 4 areas:
East - Mahogany Mtn, Vale - 153.935 131.8 (158.925 131.8), 453.000 link
West - Black Butte, Juntura - 153.935 131.8 (158.925 131.8), 453.000 link
North - Cottonwood Mtn - 153.905 118.8 (158.880 118.8), 458.000 link
South - Blue Mtn, Basque - 153.905 118.8 (158.880 118.8) 458.000 link

The new system will use the following frequencies. I don't know which may be in use at this time.
Mohogany Mtn - 153.935 (158.925)
Black Butte - 158.775 (153.9725)
Cottonwood Mtn - 158.995 (155.100)
Blue Mtn - 151.055 (156.045) 127.3?
Ontario/Fruitland - 155.3175 (153.9725)

County Roads - 150.995 110.9 (156.105)

OSP - 4700-Ontario 154.935 (155.460)
4200 - Burns 154.680 (155.445)
ODOT - 154.085 (151.055)
