I would like to use my AOR 8600 mkII in order to scan the 2.4ghz band for x10 security camera's around my area.

Is it possible to take the 10.7mhz IF out from the back of the radio and feed it directly into a NTSC decoder chip? or some other type of circuit?

Would this work? I've seen some hacks of the x10 receivers on the internet, but I thought this would be faster/more accurate if I could get it to work.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for everyone that responded in PM. Not sure why it wasn't posted in the forum for everyone to see, but I appreciate the input...

A couple things I've found out - Basically, what I was trying to locate was a way to DIY this AOR NTSC module: (which is now discontinued)
AOR TV8600 Adapter

As a couple people pointed out, the 10.7mhz IF on the back is too narrow on bandwidth. And if you look at the install manual for the TV8600, it shows how they tapped into the internal IF's:

I did find an NTSC decoder chip from Texas Instruments that I'm wondering if I could build up a circuit around:

I kinda hate the idea of having to modify the radio though...
