Need help arc500pro usb cable for psr-600

Hello. Very new to scanning but can follow directions. I just purchased the gre psr-600 digital scanner and also bought the software arc500pro so i can upload and download frequencies to and from scanner. The gre usb cable that came with the scanner does not seem to work, cant upload or download to computer. Have downloaded driver for usb cable but still wont work. Wont let me download from scanner to pc. The device driver downloaded ok. Very frustrating. I am running a newer computer windows vista. Any help on what i could be doing wrong. Thanks.

I am going through the same exact thing. It is very frustrating. Did you figure out the problem yet? This is driving me crazy.

try going to the GRE website & update drivers. Also make sure the comport in the software ,are the same ias that's shown in device manager in windoww.
