need help choosing a scanner

so i live ibn tucson arizona usa. sadly over 90% of arizona has switched to digital systems so analog scanners wont work for me below is some info to help you out

my budget is between 150-250$ max would prefer a scanner that i can hook up to my PC to program for the cities i want but not required

also mobile or stationary not mandatory as i will only use this at home please help me choose one been out of the loop for to long

You'll need to look into the used market and see if you can get a deal. It'll be hard to find a modern digital scanner at that price. You could possibly get a BCD325P2 in the $250 range used. But that's going to be hard to do I think. If you could do $300, I think you would be able to get a nice radio.

Pima county uses a P-25 Phase II system. You are going to hard pressed to find a scanner that does Phase II for your price points. Most go for $350 +. Even used.

You could probably find a used Radio Shack PRO-668 here in the classifieds or on Ebay for around $200.00.

Its a good, solid scanner that would work well in your area.

I have seen a bcd996p2 on eBay for like $248 dollars that programs by a computer software program. Just a suggestion.
