Need help configuring SDR# frequency scanner

Hi all,

I am new to the ham radio amateur hobby,
I bought a SDR dongle, installed SDR#,
but I am unable to scan frequencies like
I do on my Baofeng UV-82.

First of all the SDR# software is "forcing"
me to use very high step sizes unlike on
the Baofeng, and when I am scanning frequecies
on the software, it doesn't stop on the FM
radio frequencies, it just passes them by.

Can anyone help me configure my SDR# frequency
scanner so it can behave like a normal scanner?
