Need help DSD 1.4 installation

Hi guys need some help please

Ok so got a latop here with Ubuntu 10.4 i've not really messed with Linux before, so i was wondering if their is a step by step process of Installing or "make" a install. I understand and know how to navigate around Ubuntu. I come at a loss in terminal, as to what to type or put in thier. I have the dsd and mbelib on my desktop which i used archive manager to create the file folders. I cannot for the sake of me understand how to install the program. Any help would be appreciated.

As a side note i am going to be using my pro-94 which is tapped for a edacs digital system.

Check here to see if this helps. Note that several people have had audio problems with some of the version 10 releases of Ubuntu.

awsome thanks!!! Ya i ahve heard about the audio issues, hopefully the laptop i have will not, i did test the mic port already and headphone jack and sound comes through, so hopefully that is a good sign. Just for a record, its a toshiba satelite laptop, roughly 4 yrs old
