Need Help Duluth MN 55811 HP1

My name is Nora and live in Duluth - bought a Home Patrol 1 for my elderly mum for Christmas. (Trying to make her last bit of time enjoyable) I am having difficulties with programming and any help would be useful, would appreciate help here over the phone or even coffee...at your convenience.

Using Home Sentinel - I could not get Freescan to connect with Home Patrol 1 no matter what I did.

I have the range set to 10 miles.

Do not want the Iron Range just Duluth area local.

Mum had spoken about the Duluth Police Dept and the "detective channels" I am unsure what she is speaking about with the detective channels.

I have not knowingly put in MNDot 36632, 36536, 36572, 36574 38028 et al and yet it is showing up under Armer and shows up as unknown I tried to avoid permanently but it keeps showing up like a bad penny.

Mayo seems to be under Duluth Superior Communications (ltr)
Obviously I am doing something wrong...

Want Duluth fire and pd, gold cross to be main ones with Superior wi fire and pd
The MNDot is monopolizing - with may dispatch

Oh... and it doesn't have that warning tone....I didn't add it... was just trying to get the basics and then clean it up and figure out how to add it. MN Dot has me baffled.

If a channel comes up that you dont want to listen to you could just lock it out. Eventually you should get only what you want popping up, assuming they're already in there.

That's what I meant... I lock them out... but they don't stay locked out. When I upload it up to my pc to see what channels are locked out... the MNdots do not show up at all as locked out.

If the home patrol is like the 996 the first time you press the lockout button its a temporary lockout; you have to press it a second time to make it permanent.

There is a button that reads make permanent... that is what I did.

Yes, that is the Duluth dispatch talkgroup as it says. Gold Cross is Mayo's ground ambulance service...

You will not hear Life Link 3 on that system as they moved off a long time ago.

I would also think the LTR system was decommissioned when the Connect Plus system was installed.

My mum has been asking for her scanner and when it will be done and I have been putting hours into this and I still don't have it right. At least I am still trying.

What is ID: Search it can be either on or off

ID Search means ANY Talkgroup that is w/ in range will show up. To control what Talkgroups you want to hear keep the scanner in ID Scan mode.

I changed things around a bit... thinking this might work... but it only shows two sites when I scan... so I effectively made it worse.
