Need help knowing about any analog frequcies

Hi guys
I'm back since my GRE psr 100 got rip off by some punk I thinking of buying a GRE PSR 310
I know here some of the public services gone completly mad with digital I can't afford a digtal hand held scanner, they are still over priced so I can only afford the GRE PSR 310 so can any of you tell is there any good bands out in arizona that get with this gre psr 310 scanner?

of course to police and some fire calls I have resort to my smart phone with the scanner app
to them .so can you please tell any good bands out there in arizona i can with the gre psr 310 scanner

Goodyear PD, Tolleson PD, Maricopa PD, Capital Police, Sun City Patrol (old timers playing cop), Paradise Valley PD.
Arizona DPS (highway patrol / state police).
Aircraft, especially 123.55 Phoenix PD helicopters, and 123.025 Valley Helicopters.
Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
All valley fire departments still do VHF (especially on the cool fire-ground stuff).
You could listen to ambulance traffic alone (Southwest, PMT) and have tons of listening.
News media (especially the news helos / aircraft and on-scene people).

Look up frequencies for the military bases in Arizona, they use VHF AM frequencies, and also need to check in on civilian air frequencies for various airport towers, Albuquerque Center, etc.

Pretty much all unencrypted radio transmissions. I monitor around 3000 frequencies in the phoenix area, about half of it analog, and the other half P25.

You name it, I monitor it when I can. When I lived in Buckeye last year, I had a BLAST monitoring the fighter jets from Luke air force base as they dropped bombs and laid down 20 mm slugs on targets over the Barry Goldwater range, and sometimes simulated air to air combat. That was some of the more interesting scanning I have done in my scanning lifetime.

besides the phoenix pd helicopters here I seen black hawks, huey cobra, huey cobra weapon copters to a super stalion and some miltary jets it's like my air show I tell you, where's my scanner.

A little NASCAR, when they were at PIR in the past, but I don't go to the races. I just hung out in the area to snoop on radio transmissions, as I do at many events.

I bet you had a thrill on that day when the 2 news copters crash together.

The guy who gave you advice is ignorant. People on this board range from long time scanner guys like me with 35 years of scanner experience, to licensed amateur radio guys, to licensed GMRS guys (also in my portfolio), to actually radio engineers / radio science professionals. Anything you need to know can be answered here, but be advised that many of the old timers have a short fuse and take pot shots at rookies, especially if they start acting silly. A thick layer of skin is needed to hang out in these forums.

Encryption is about security. Encryption is about officer safety and more effective policing. It is not a response to interference issues. Those who interfere with police communications find themselves in a world of hurt. I used to listen to Phoenix PD techs zeroing in on pirates and people operating stolen police radio equipment, and they almost always got them.

So far this morning on my smartphone scanner app thank to R.R I heard on the phx police band
some woman was passing fake money in store and ask change for a 40$ and let the bag of fake money in a cicle k store.
most the scanner app on google play gets thier feeds from R.R

Yes you can listen on a phone....if you want to listen to a mix of every single un-encrypted talk group.....

Those apps have no ability to stop on a given talk group, or to lock certain groups out. I have the apps on my phone, but pretty much never use them. Part of why I enjoy the hobby is that I am using my programming, my techniques, listening to the mix that I want at any given moment. There are no feeds for many cool things. A phone app is better than nothing I guess.

Even when digtal scanners being sold for a high price they still make analog scanners and still sell them. I think it's bad idea to sell digtal scanners at high price when this countries has jobless problem
is very wrong . it be better to sell a digtal comverter for scanners at 40$ is better.

well as long the still is analog frequcies there be analog scanners until while have this 1 i save up for over priced digital fad scanner.
it really quire they charge a digital scanner of the price of polive band 2 way rados
you think for that price you talk on it a digital scanner.
I mean do the have gold electronic parts
I also heard that GRE is gone no digital scanners made :lol
