ok i am giting a ht1550xls i need help on how to filde programeit.i got the battere for it. and the manual did not say?

To program it, you'll need the software, and equipment to do it. You can find all that stuff online, or if yo uask around.
See if the person you're buying it from has the Motorola CPS for that model. The 1550 also has a special battery with a key that allows field programming in that model.

Thats good to know. I haven't kept up on the latest from them. I guess I'm just used to the older models.
