Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I've been tasked with programming 12 cp200d radios for someone who works in the movie industry. I managed to get the software and can read/write to the radios.

6 of the radios have the model number H01QDC9JC2AN, and the other 6 end with 9JA2AN. I've figured out that the 9JC2AN are analog only and the 9JA2AN are analog/digital.

The first 6 with 9JA2AN talk to each other as expected, the but other 6 9JC2AN won't talk to each other or the first 6. I tried cloning them but it wouldn't work, i'm not sure what I have to do to get them to play together, ideally i'd like all 12 to just talk to each other.

I've uploaded all 12 configuration files to this drive link cp200d radios - Google Drive

Any help of just pointing me in the right direction to figure it out myself is much appreciated

Well for one the channels (frequencies and squelch codes) do not match between the two models. What orifice were these channels pulled from?

The radios should be programmed as per what is on the users FCC license. Do you have that information?
What program did you use to open these? I can't get them to even open here.

Eh disregard, looks like my version of CPS 2.0 is too old to open an .xctb file. i have no intensions of updating it on the laptop I use for programming, I need to run the specific version I'm using for other things. First time I've encountered this but I do mainly older radios.

Your codeplugs are all different. I opened 3 of them, and they were all different. One didn't even have any channels programmed.

The 9JA can be analog or digital (if they have DMR licenses applied), while the 9JC are and always will be analog only. If the 9JA have digital channels in them, you won't be able to program the 9JC to talk to them on those channels. If the codeplugs are all different, it's not really clear what is being attempted.

What analog TX/RX frequencies and PL/DPL are supposed to be in which channels?
