I have tried programming Newark FD into my BCD536HP. I installed the West Orange Simulcast frequencies
and all the FD talk groups on the NJICS . I can't recieve any transmissions. I know there is activity on the channels because i have the live feed enabled on my PC. Any help would be great. I am less than 15 miles from West Orange and have an external antenna as well

Import this into Sentinel & give it a try. It's the West Orange & Union County simulcasts + just the stuff assigned to Essex County.

Make sure that you have all the service types enabled in your profile as well.

I can't open your zip file? Can you send the settings? What application will open your zip file?

I'm a little confused that you can't open a ZIP file (the forums won't let me attach a raw HPE file).

Grab 7zip for free & try unpacking the ZIP again. There is a custom HPE file in there that covers just want you are trying to hear. There really isn't any other way to send those settings.

I'm pretty sure I've read here that west orange's system has some strange coverage anomalies.
Like, you can be 1 town over and not hear it reliably.

...and NJSP on NJICS P25

The NJICS is not.to be considered a replacement to monitoring the NJSP on their 800MHz system.

The NJICS NJSP talkgroups are not active full-time (minus 4-COMM, as it appears a Meadowlands radio is affiliated to that TG full-time).
