i am getting a Repeater that is gonna be on 430mhz....i dont have the model # but i do have a S/N, can i get info from that?

see, the guy who has the repeater says he can't find out, but all he could tell me was that it say
"Motorola 3154", but i am unsure f that is even the #....all he says is that he bought it from a tag sale, it works on 430mhz, i am gonna fix it up and give it to a local ham club, but like i said, all i have it the Serial #...

this is the exact info the guy gave me over AIM,

: um all most like that um it has 3 big radios and the tag says 600 watt amp and then it has patch coax cables with ends going to differ places up then the frame of it have 3 radios
1 is i think a gr300
2 is a big black long box with 4 fans and coax coming out of it andd 3 gauges and the gauges have on them power 600 power 200 and power 150 and a bunch of switchs(controls)

i am not sure how to make sense of it, as i don't know much about repeaters,
i am just going to have myself and someone else work on it for the HAM Club,

he says it says,

GR300/GR350, i couldn't find the info on the GR350, any help

My guess is anytone with any experiance will know what is going on once they see it.

3154 is some type of cell.

he gave me his home phone #, so i am assuming that it is not a scam, maybe just someone mistaking it for a repeater, i am checking into it before i do anything else, i tried to call, but it just rang, no voice mail or answering machine, but i will check into it and let you guys know
