I have seen the "virtual radar" that uses airplanes ident radio codes to simulate a radar screen and I need to know if these work in the USA and has anyone here ever tried one? I never needed to know this info before but recently I noticed I was missing some planes using the internet based "radar" screens and of course the delay was becoming an issue. what I want to do is this. Is there a way for me to be mobile and in the boonies, so far away that even cellular and internet signal is only available thru satellite. See an Aircraft and use maybe one of these to identify that aircraft? any ideas? suggestions?

Yes it will work in the USA. As it is using the signals transmitted by the aircraft in response to radar it will work anywhere where the aircraft is being interogated - as long as the aircraft is fitted with the equipment (not all are yet).
Best place for questions would be the companies own user bulletin board:
