I recently picked up an older desktop scanner just to hear London Fire, County Fire departments and OPP/EMS (while I still can). I'm using FreeScan to program.
I've been scanning for decades, but have relied on my portable scanners with Sentinel and the RadioReference database onboard. Everything is working great for London Fire and fire conventional. All of the FleetNet site system and groups are entered correctly. However, I'm not receiving anything during scan.
When I hold on a talkgroup, it says "looking for control channel". When I hold on frequency, I hear the analogue voice traffic and control channel data. Signal strength is full bars. Looking at past group discussions, RadioReference and searching the web hasn't helped. I'm probably missing one of the site parameters. Anyone able to help?
