need help with deciding either to put in the ang base freq or refuling?

well in live in south east pa and i was wondoring if anyone could help me decide if should put in all the local base such as willow grove ,fort indiantown gap, dover, mcguire, in my scanner or only the refuling coms and huntress coms. can anyone help please. and where can i find a up todate list of refuling codes

Depending on where you are in SE PA you may or may not hear the base units and then only hear the aircraft now and then. I live in Doylestown Bucks County and can sometimes pick up aircraft flying to McGuire. When Willow Grove was active, there was always plenty of activity.

Actually, the higher ATC center freqs for your area would probably get you the most action, unless you're close enough to any of those places to actually hear them that low.

matt, it's also important to realize that no matter what scanner you are using, getting an antenna like a ScanTenna, discone or the DPD ones is going to significantly increase your chances of hearing activity. Here, a duckie or a little indoor antenna is going to not going to perform very well, unless you're fairly close to an airport, air route or mil base 73 Mike
