Hello everyone I am fairly new to the whole scanner scene the last time I had a scanner was the early 90's and I have noticed things have changed. One being ALOT of local police stations in RI are using this RISCON thing and I can not for the life of me figure out how to get the frequencies or any other way to listen to it. Is RISCON the same as a trunked system where scanners cant listen in ????? I am currently using a Uniden BC125AT handheld. Please help me out thank you everyone!

if i needed a new digital scanner

i would pick up a uniden 325P2.
because i find it easier to program after using a 396t and a 396xt.

If money is no object maybe try a Unication G4/5 . Everyone say they are great! You will still need to program the pager.

what can the 325P2 NOT do that the uniden 436HP can ?? which is the better bang for the buck ? I'm trying to figure out which to go with
