yes it will work Galveston County, Texas (TX) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

can not do rebending.
so you could not follow a talkgroup, but you could put in the frequencies and at least listen.
you would just have to hear everybody.

thats all i have ever done with a scanner just put in the trunked frequencies and thats it never saw a need to mess with talk groups at least in my area

you wont get that noise is the frequencies are put in correctly

hers is a motorola system which has a data channel.
yours is an edacs and is diferent.
also i believe she is setting it up as conventional.

i see that there could be P-25 or digital on the system.
so you might want to upgrade to a digital radio soon anyway.

digital radios are kind of expensive.
i hope you really like the hobby.
the one i would recommend is a portable handheld.

I love the hobie just want to hear something.i was told my radio will pock up Galveston county digital channel since its a dual trunking radio but have not figured out how to program the freqs in .I mean i know how to program radio but not what freqs i need ro hear gaveston co. I live in Dickinson Tx and they are simulcast on a freq bit i hear nothing.really need explanation.husband is no help.hes not into hobbie but my dad got me into it and hes no longer here to help...
