Ive been using unidens scaners for awhile now am intrested in switching over to the PSR500 or 600 but need a couple of questions answerd before i go ahead and buy the unit.
The first question does the 500 or the 600 have a built in discrimanator tap built into them?
Second question is their a way to program multiple sites into them like the 996??
Third question is are they easy to pickup on the functioning of the scanner??
I have been playing with the ARC programing for the 500 and getting a little confused with the workings of the unit. Thanks for any help on these questions and any replies would be greatly apperciated.

Thanks HDMechanic

Yes it does through the PC/IF port.

Yes, up to 32 control frequencies per TSYS.
Third question is are they easy to pickup on the functioning of the scanner??
The user manual can be downloaded from GRE Support

ARC500, PSREdit and Win500 are all easy to use when one gets familiar with the scanner. Each software writer is active in the forum for their software and each have a yahoo group forum. Yahoo also has a forum for both scanners.

Technically no, it does not have a true discriminator tap built in. The PC/IF port does provide control channel data if you have a program that knows how to use that (Unitrunker does, and Pro96Com does for 9600 bps systems).
