• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I'm looking for some information contained in the instruction manual for the NMN6247 PSM. I need to confirm the Motorola Part Numbers of two items. Is the antenna bushing seal P/N 3205782P01, and is the tool for mounting and de-mounting the NTN8327 RF adapter NTN8270? Could someone also please send me the manual number for the PSM instruction manual. I've misplaced mine and need to order anouther copy. If someone has the manual in PDF or other type of file format, I'll provide you with my email address to send it to.

Thanks!
Ron

3205782P01 is listed as "SEAL ANT BUSHING Unit of Measure: 5 PK"

NTN8270 is listed as "TOOL WRENCH Unit of Measure: 1 EA"

If you're still hesistant on what these are, call Motorola at 1-800-422-4210. You'll be paying GOOD money to order the parts that aren't manufactured for more than 1/2 of what you'll be paying, so you might as well get the customer service time for your buck :) The Parts ID department would be glad to help you out. I think that it will be options 1 then 2 to get you to parts ID, but listen to the recording to make sure :)

greenthumb, thanks for the info. Actually, I already got that info from MOL (Motorla on Line) which is where I suspect you got those discriptions from. I was looking to see if anyone had the instruction sheet that came with the PSM and could write me the P/N listed within.

Thanks for your reply!

Part numbers

I just opened two different boxes with the mikes and neither one has documentation that includes the part numbers other than the mike number and the RF adapter... it mentions the wrench but not by part number. The only parts list is for the antenna and the box and RF adapter sheet also does not mention a part number for either part you are requesting.

Mozilla, Thanks for the reply. I must have seen them listed somewhere else. Could you forward me the P/N for the sheets you have? I'm getting ready to submit a parts order and would like to order the instruction sheet so I can give it to the customer with the mic and RF adapter.
