I'm going to travel Eastbound from Sparks on I-80 to Fernley, then East on Hwy 50 to Fallon. What NSRS analogue radio sites do I need to program ? I just need the primary sites and want to avoid the fill-in sites if that is possible.

Thanks

NSRS is EDACS not analog. Perhaps up north they are P25 digital soon? The state is converting to digital p25.
Looks like you need Washoe/ Lyon/ Churchill sites.

You'll likely want to program the EDACS (analog) sites for each county. Note that you MUST program all frequencies for each site and include the LCN. EDACS requires knowing the logical channel number for each freequency assignment on a system.

NSRS is analog in Northern Nevada. EDACS is a trunking technology, not an emission mode such AM, FM, P25, etc. There is very limited P25 - mostly in Reno.

The new Northern Nevada P25 system is at least two years out according to the Northern Nevada P25 Project administrator's report to the Washoe County Commission a few months ago - and, according to the administrator himself, that is subject to delay.

So, I really don't need or want the P25 system info. Thanks anyway.
