Yep, you need to see if anyone has the standalone CPU updater file.
I don't recall if one was ever released for the Pro-18 though but if so and you can get someone to email it to you, you should be able to get yours going again.
Having the original iScan software installed is not going to help as the server it connects with is long gone now.
The Pro18 can be upgraded by Whistler like the PSR800 can, that may be your only option. That upgrade basically makes your Pro-18 into a Whistler WS1080 and adds DMR support to boot. It does not follow trunked DMR systems though but you can listen to DMR signals conventionally one channel at a time.
If your Pro-18 is in fairly good physical shape, it's probably worth sending to Whistler to get the upgrade.

Once upgraded, you install and use Whistler's free WS1080 version of EzScan software to get weekly DB updates and also use that to manually program or change things in your Pro18. Just remember that it's considered a Whistler WS1080 now.
