Hi all, So I currently been listening to the Orange County Fire Rescue in Orlando FL radio for years but sadly I noticed today the broadcaster has discontinued his transmission. Im currently looking for a handheld scanner that I would be able to pick the radio transmissions back up. Can anyone recommend a portable scanner that will work? Preferable on Amazon. I have no idea what to look for. Thank you so much!

Here is the page for the old feed: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/8345

And here is the radio channels: https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=363

Looking at this page https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=7132 it appears Orange County Fire & Rescue is digital/trunked. The good news is you can get a scanner that will pick it up. the bad news is the 'inexpensive' (ie analog) scanners won't receive it. You'll need one of the newer scanners that are unfortunately in the $500-$600 price range. The Uniden (Bearcat) SDS100 is a good quality popular scanner that should work well for you.

Thanks for the input. I purchased the Uniden 436HP. Someone said that should work just lacks some of the features the SDS100 has. Hope that's correct lol
