Need some advice

The Uniden BC72XLT scanner my husband has will no longer pick up Blount Co TN police frequencies I think because of the update of their system at the end of the summer. Don't know what to replace it with. I bought it at Scanner Master but am having trouble getting online help from them. Any suggestions?

Blount Co appears to have switched to a Statewide Trunking system. The System is Digital and can only be monitored with a digital scanner. Part of the system is P25 Phase II and the only scanner that can pick that up is the GRE PSR-800 or Radio Shack Pro-18

This is incorrect to my knowledge. While most RadioShack scanners are almost exact clones of their GRE counterparts, the Pro-18 is the exception to that. It does not have the hardware to decode TDMA and therefore cannot listen to the trunking system mentioned. You're going to need the PSR-800 or wait for new technology to come around.
