Name is Bill (N2JAI) and I am programing a 2052 manually.

I am in Cape May County.

I am unclear as to what the correct frequencies are currently for TROOP A in South Jersey,

There apparently has been a change, I originally had 12 a year ago and now there appears to be 13 and a Intella repeater or something.

I have the short cut guide which is pretty self explanatory, but I do not pretend to know what I dont KNOW !!! So, if there is someone out there that can point me in the right direction with the correct frequecies and configuration as to what type system I should select on the RS-2052 it would be helpful, after that I will have to bring the 2067 and the 2096 up to speed also.

Thanks,

Getting older and slower,

Hey Bill...welcome to this forum! As far as troop A is concerned...enter all the frequencies into one bank, make sure each freq is set to MOT or MO (I'm not sure which way it displays on the 2052) . Also, set up the bank as a trunking bank. Run the bank in 'open' mode if you would like to hear all the available talk groups, if you would like to lock out some talk group ID's then close the bank, and lock out which ever TG ID's you dont want to hear.

Your short cut guide should explain to you how to manually enter ID's & lock them out, also how to open and close banks. I will do a little more research and see if I can find out how to do it in the guide.

Hi Bentley,

Ok I put all 13 frequencies in and chose the E2-800 type ? anyway I now have a data channle and some trunking is taking place, I have no audio yet from the activity but the indicators in the display show it is in trunk mode and searching, reading a little more.
