Hey Everyone,

I just moved down south...M-Town area, and I have begun attempting to monitor Kent County and Sussex County. I am trying to figure out (2) of DSP's ID's. Looking at the PRO-96 display, I have the following ID's that I am struggling to comprehend what they are:

DSP N/K-CMD

DSP K/S-CMD

Is there a type-o? I am thinking that they are telling me that one is DSP NORTH Kent County Dispatch and that the other is DSP Kent County SOUTH Dispatch.

Is Kent County really broken up into NORTH and SOUTH areas?

Any idears?

Thanks guys!

Re:

Ok. Just to be sure that I am understanding this correctly...

DSP New Castle County Dispatch = ID - 02128

DSP Kent County Dispatch = ID - 02320

DSP Sussex County Dispatch = ID - 02448

I THINK I got that...

In looking at the scanner banks, I think I see why I was confused. I THOUGHT that bank "0" was ONLY NCC info, bank "1" was ONLY KENT info and bank "3" was ONLY SUSSEX info. After looking at that banks, I see that bank "1" had BOTH Kent 02320 AND Sussex 02448 in it.

Like I said, I am just starting to monitor Kent and Sussex. I wasn't sure what I was looking at. Whoooops!

Lastly, you stated:

"n refers to new castle and the k refers to kent counties its close to both counties k/s refers to sussex command."

You aren't saying that each county (Kent and Sussex) SHARE their ID's because they are so close are you? If so, how come NCC and KENT CO don't share an ID?

Am I missing the point?

lol...

The way I understand it is... DSP Dispatch for NCC has their own ID. Kent has their own and so does Sussex. Right?

Thanks!

Due to their close proximimity the Kent County CMD talkgroup id is also carried on the N(New Castle) and the S(Sussex) systems. If you are in the northern part of NCC (Claymont) and have your radio in search or have the Kent CMD talkgroup programmed in radio, you will hear all the transmissions on that group. Same if you go all the way to Rehoboth.
Smyrna PD , Clayton . Also you will hear some of the Kent Fire talkgroups. The designation of N/K and K/S basically tell what systems towers that carry the transmissions.

Hello,

DSP CMD TG's on the state system can affiliate to multiple zones. Hence, you will hear N-CMD and K-CMD from the NCCo Zone, and K-CMD and S-CMD from the Kent Co Zone. The banks are programmed so most of the TG's are exclusive to each zone, some are 2 zones, or statewide.
