Need some help with my UBCD396T

Hi everybody,

I found a UBCD396T on gumtree a few years back and it's been great, only I've recently left the city (Hobart) and moved to a small rural town (Franklin) and no longer can pick up anything.

The scanner was already set up to listen to police when I first bought it, so I never bothered to learn further about it.

From my limited understanding of radio communications, all the signals I were receiving were coming from the Hobart (Mt. Wellington) control channel, can I set my scanner to scan a closer channel, Huonville perhaps?How do I go about it?

Yeah perhaps, but my question isn't state or even country specific. I just need to know how to program the radio. I have four frequencies for a tower, but I don't know the LCN. I'm not sure if there is further information, and I don't know the first steps. I've flicked through the manual but it's all too foreign to me at this point.

It would appear that the Huonville frequencies are:-
865.2875, 866.2875, 867.2875, 868.2875, 869.2875, and
865.7625, 866.7625, 867.7625, 868.7625, 869.7625
